LoL?, try Aspid against FloodRMC2? sometime. It's quite a spectacle. Aspid moves, of course, and I think he tends to help me get far away from him, so I still win about 80 of the first 100 matches (after about 70, he starts winning about 1/3 of the time). -- Kawigi

I forgot to to disable the ramming at the end of the round in the previous results.

Results :

my first result:

1st: lv.PatternMatcherBot 1.2	39840	5400	1080	31200	2160	0	0	108	392	0
2nd: rz.GlowBlowAPMRMC 23520	19600	3920	0	0	0	0	392	108	0
index: 59.04
let's see how good my APM-movement is (btw, I don't think that someone can beat PatternMatcherBot with this rules) -- Rozu

Oh,Terrible result Rozu. -- iiley

AshRMC's first result:

1st: lv.PatternMatcherBot 1.2	54076	10350	2070	37519	4136	0	0	207	293	0
2nd: cx.micro.AshRMC 0.7	17580	14650	2930	0	0	0	0	293	207	0
index:32.51

not very bad i think, but very far from GlowBlowAPMRMC -- iiley

Frankie:

Index 37.78%. -- PEZ

I think that if you can guarantee no better than a perfectly random chance of hitting you, you could approach that 100% mark very nicely. However, that sort of movement has more context in the curve-flattening section, here you would almost have to be simply deceptive. Here's my first shot, using a tweaked version of Teancum's new movement (tweaked to be further away in general):

1st: lv.PatternMatcherBot 1.2	53988	10350	2070	37431	4137	0	0	207	293	0
2nd: kawigi.sbf.TeancumPassive	17617	14650	2930	0	0	37	0	293	207	0
index: 32.6
Not where it should be, possibly, but it's doing well in the Flattening area, too :-) -- Kawigi

DT's results:

1st: lv.PatternMatcherBot 1.2	85868	12600	2520	65710	5037	0	0	252	748	0
2nd: pe.SandboxDT 1.91 44900	37400	7480	0	0	20	0	748	252	0
index: 52.27 %
-- Paul Evans

An updated Frankie:

Index 46.44%. -- PEZ

Some more tweaking yields a higher score against PatternMatcherBot without sacrificing anything to SandboxDT:

1st: lv.PatternMatcherBot 1.2	50794	8650	1730	36963	3450	0	0	173	327	0
2nd: kawigi.sbf.TeancumPassive	19735	16350	3270	0	0	115	0	327	173	0
Index: 38.85%
Improving slowly... And for reference, too, here's how FloodMini's movement fares:
1st: lv.PatternMatcherBot 1.2 51892	9500	1900	36700	3791	0	0	191	309	0
2nd: kawigi.sbf.FloodMiniPassive	18564	15450	3090	0	0	23	0	310	190	0
Index: 35.77%
And here's how my tweakage of FloodHT is doing. Amazingly, it does ok still as I focus only on the profile:
1st: lv.PatternMatcherBot 1.2	47105	7650	1530	34871	3053	0	0	153	347	0
2nd: kawigi.sbf.FloodRMC2	20888	17350	3470	0	0	68	0	347	153	0
Index: 44.34%
-- Kawigi

Tweaking Frankie to do better against DT doesn't help much but it helps here:

Index 54.22%. -- PEZ

1st: lv.PatternMatcherBot 1.2	62025	13200	2640	40925	5259	0	0	264	236	0
2nd: jekl.Jekyl 14334	11800	2360	0	0	174	0	236	264	0
Index: 23.11%
Caveats: I only edited out Jekyl's gun. For some reason Jekyl skipped 10+ turns a round. This led to wall collisions like crazy. I also did not put in any specific "stay as far away as I can code". This is my competition bot taking a turn at the whipping pole. It will most likely never happen again.-- jim
