The small brother of Aspid.

It reached the first position in the MicroBots category in the Eternal Rumble, was 2nd in the MicroBots and MiniBots category in the Christmas Ranking of Face2face competition, and has been 1rst several times in the Minibots competition (Micros - 1vs1).

Again, MicroAspid is first in the Minibot challenge (Micros and Minis 1v1) - Feb 16.

Version 1.4.6 takes MicroAspid back to the first position in the Eternal Rumble (micros) - Mar 11.

MicroAspid is the winner of Face2face competition Cruel Winter ranking, in both micro and mini categories - Apr 07.

Version 1.5 released Now it consistently scores more damage to SandBoxDT? than DT does to him (Just need to improve its survival rate to win DT ;-P).

Version 1.6 released - Jul 03 Don't expect major changes. I just adjusted the PM after the lessons learned in the PMC.

It is designed for 1vs1 only, and features a powerful pattern matcher. Movement has room for improvement.

/Comments?

How does it move?

It uses a RandomMovement algorithm, losely based on the principles Myl posted on the forums: avoid moving linearly but try to stay perpendicular to the enemy.

Version 1.4.6 changes some parameters for the movement, but not the logic structure.

How does it fire?

It uses a killer PatternMatcher. For a complete description see Aspid.

Version 1.4.6 includes some minor changes for an smarter power management at the end of the round.

How does it dodge bullets?

No dodging at all.

How does the melee strategy differ from one-on-one strategy?

MicroAspid is a OneOnOne bot. It hasn`t melee strategy.

Where did you get the name?

I just wanted to name it for something small and deadly, and I named it for this deadly snake (I think it is Asp in english).

Can I use your code?

I'm not releasing the code, but I have no problem to share the ideas, so just ask.

What's next for your robot?

I'w improve its movement.

What other robot(s) is it based on?

Aspid and MicroAspid are closely related, they develop in paralel.
