- Nothing, I guess, since 2002. ;)
What's special about it?
- It's using a pattern matcher for targeting and tried mixing with NeuralTargeting, but that didn't work out well.
- It's actually based on my experiences with my MiniBot DotBot?, not primarily on my earlier XBot.
Great, I want to try it. Where can I download it?
How competitive is it?
Probably not competitive at all anymore. It was quite competitive in its own time though, especially in one-on-one. Its melee abilities lagged behind, though, unfortunately.
How does it move?
Honestly, I don't know anymore. Like XBot, it tried to avoid virtual bullets, I guess. Look it up yourself! :)
How does it fire?
It's using PatternMatching.
Sorry, I don't know any details anymore.
How does the melee strategy differ from one-on-one strategy?
I think I didn't do special melee stuff in there, at least not any good stuff. ;)
What does it save between rounds and matches?
I guess it saved some bot stats. Don't ask.
Where did you get the name?
"blot" for a bloated "dot" (because it's based on the MiniBot DotBot?).
Can I use your code?
Go ahead, it's GPL''ed (source included in the jar file).
What's next for your robot?
Nothing, I'm afraid. It's long out of development.
What other robot(s) is it based on?
It's based primarily on DotBot?, and somewhat on XBot.
