What should we keep from RC1 in
Robocode2, and what should we drop in order to complete it within the next century?
- Built-in editor. Too much trouble to go to since most people use their own IDE. Especially since Eclipse is free, open source, and really really good. Maybe eventually but it's certainly not a priority.
- Team battles. To be done after we have a working version without team battles. Again, this would just slow the initial release too much.
- Threads. Actually I'm not sure I'd ever want thread support to be added, since Paul Evans pointed out the possibility of writing malicious threads that only execute during your opponent's turn in order to cause your opponent to skip turns.
- Rendered display. I'd say that we let other programs render the battle, and let RII concentrate on the battle itself.

keep teams! some of my best bots are team robots. and the built in editor is convenient. personally I don't think any features should be lost. unless that change colors thing is real.
