Controlled Testing Environments

These challenges don't use standard robocode rules. For example, one bot may be prohibited from moving. They offer a great way to measure one aspect of your bot's performance at a time.

• MovementChallenge: A measure of how good your bot's movement is, made up of:
  • CurveFlatteningChallenge: Try to avoid being hit by one of the GuessFactor guns around
  • AntiPatternMatcherChallenge: Try to avoid being hit by the champion of the PatternMatcherChallenge
• WaveSurfingChallenge: Can you dodge *every* bullet these bots fire?
• TargetingChallenge: Think you have the best aim around?
• PatternMatcherChallenge: Try to beat this bot... without moving! Luckily it moves in a perfectly predicatable pattern, so if you can hit it with every single shot you just might win.

Standard Battles

These challenges use standard robocode rules. Try to get a higher score vs. the other bot than anyone else!

• DevilFISHChallenge: Show off your close combat skills vs. DevilFISH
• BarracudaChallenge: Barracuda has strong movement but a buggy gun... exploit the bug and dodge his bullets!
• SandboxDT/Challenge: Try and beat one of the strongest bots of all time.
• SharkChallenge: Got your WaveSurfing working? Great! But what good is surfing against a shark?

"extends Robot" Challenges

These challenges force you to extend the Robot class, rather than AdvancedRobot or TeamRobot.

• SpinBotChallenge: Can you get a perfect score against SpinBot?
• SampleBotMeleeChallenge: Get the highest possible score against all the sample bots in a 1000x1000 field
